Jacket Sewing Pattern

US 0-16 & EU 30-46.

The Blixen Blazer jacket PDF sewing pattern is a classic blazer design with side panel, slanted welt pockets, and a notched collar. The two-piece sleeve adds an exclusive touch to the fit. The jacket has both full sleeve length and 3/4 sleeve length option. Additionally, the back can be straight or with and a peplum. The jacket has a lining, and all seams are enclosed.

Skill level 3/4-4/4

Sewing the jacket requires mastering an advanced set of skills, including welt pockets, notched collar, and lining.

Fabric and notions

Choose a medium to heavyweight knit fabric such as Ponte, french terry, Liverpool or other structured knit material. The fabric MUST be appropriate for pressing. Choose interfacing appropriate to the weight and composition of the material. Choose a nice slippery lining with a little stretch. The fabric can be substituted by a woven if it includes stretch.
