    A great beginner's project

I used this pattern to teach a young friend how to sew. She wanted a maxi dress so we bought additional fabric as suggested by Christina. Due to the need to pattern match we made an emergency trip back to the fabric shop to buy even more fabric. We also used a flounced sleeve from another pattern I own.

She was thrilled with the result.

Instructions were clear and easy to follow. We didn't need to extend the skirt 20" as recommended in the instructions, only 16" would do, if you're short on fabric.

great pattern, flattering and easy to sew... I also added 3/4" to bust and an additional 2" to front and back bodice to drop the waist as I am v. tall.... :-)

    Dianna Dress

I am making the Dianna Dress for my Daughter. I have found that the pattern definitely needs a full bust adjustment for her 34D. I did the adjustment, as per usual, but the dress front was still not providing enough coverage, and too much gaping. I added 3/4 inch to the front edge tapering to 0 at shoulder seam. I also shortened the front edge by 3/8 inch to eliminate the gaping.. I have done 2 muslins from cheap knit, and am satisfied. I will now make up in good fabric

Great classic styling, fits well, easy to sew!

I love wrap dresses! They are flattering on every woman. Nice ones are hard to find in the store, and usually they are in a colour or print that you may not like. I used to sew all my clothes, but I haven't sewn in over 25 years, and was resistant to go to the extra effort of downloading, printing, and piecing together a pattern. It was only a bit of extra effort, easy to do, and well worth the lower price and better design! I really like this pattern company. The instructions are clear and easy to follow, the seam allowances work well with a serger, the size is my actual size (instead of 3 sizes bigger like the other pattern companies!), and the fit is perfect! I finished my first dress using this pattern today, and am already planning my second one! I love the different sleeve length options, and the detachable collar. Bravo on a great line of patterns, and thank you!
