    Skill level 2/4

Completing the skirt is a straightforward project, but the skirt has a lot of fabric, and sewing the curved hemline is challenging.

                Beautiful skirt

When assembling the skirt pieces, thought it a bit short, until I discovered the second set of sheets for the lower frill, that now made sense, the fit is lovely and so far made two in different colours. The high low was a bit too different for me @ 84yrs so just made the front section on the top 2 tiers longer, now my favourite skirt.

                Fab skirt for dancing!

This was a really nice pattern, and easy to follow. I am an intermediate-skill sewist, and found it perfect first time. Really nice style that is interesting but not bulky around the waist - suiting a smaller frame. I made in a light viscose with birds and trees in a tropical style, but will make others in denim/chambray or something for next summer. It is a great dancing skirt as the tiers flip out beautifully when you turn.

                Most favourite skirt ever

I’ve made two Belles so far, and have fabric en route for two more. It feels amazing on, was easy to construct and looks wonderful. Then only thing I would have done differently is to use a pattern printing company as there were many, many sheets to stock together, though I say this every time and always forget. Highly recommended.

                Fabulously feminine .

Just love this skirt. So floaty and feminine. I also thoroughly enjoyed making it.
It can be casual and dressy. No gathering - it just fits together beautifully.
Give it a try, you won’t be sorry. It’s a style that can be worn to the beach or to a formal occasion.

                Lovely skirt

I am not much of a skirt person, but the Belle is so beautiful that I just had to give it a try, and I so love the result. It is the perfect summer flowy skirt, flattering, comfortable and so easy to sew!
