The Boxy Shirt is the ultimate casual button-up shirt. It has a loose, relaxed fit that is comfortable and stylish. This shirt is a classic with a lot of modern touches. The collar and button placket give it that traditional button-up shirt look, but the oversized fit, extra-large pocket, and exaggerated drop shoulder sleeves provide interest. The pattern includes cropped or extended body options, straight or rounded hem, and two pocket sizes. There are also two sleeve choices – an oversized long sleeve with faux cuffs or short Dolman-style sleeves.

Perfect for me

Living in hot central California, requires loose fitting clothes. I have had other tops with this style and have been looking for a pattern to make my own. I am looking forward to spring to start making my summer clothes - the boxy shirt.

Looked Great

I think the pattern looks great however I am not smart enough with computers to download and print a copy for my size. Nothing to do with the site, just be sure you know how to then use the pattern to make the shirt. I now have a great pattern on an 8.5 x 11 in piece of paper.

I didn’t think I would like this style but now it's a new TNT for me!

Usually anything cropped isn’t my style, but I love a good button up shirt. So I decided to take a chance at this pattern and boy oh boy am I glad I did! The very first one I made, I fell in love with! Not only is this pattern extremely easy to put together, but it’s quick to make as well! They’ve included a very nice size range, I am wearing a size 12 but next time I’ll go down to a size 10. (Oh yes, there will be more!) This one was made using a Robert Kaufman cotton flannel from Amazon. (Love this fabric!) The instructions are so very easy, you almost don’t need them! It goes together quickly…you can make it in a few hours! It so comfortable too! And the oversized pocket in the front is a huge style magnet! Can you tell I just LOVE this pattern?!! If you haven’t already, give it a try!

Perfect

Exactly what I wanted. Made a linen mix sleeveless one 1st, then a long sleeve cotton lawn one which I legthened an 1" or so. No gaping at the bust.

Good

I love the very shallow curve to the underarm of the cut-on sleeve - a clever idea !
