        Simple and feminine

I enjoyed making the Esther and included it in my #sewaprilblouse23 entries.
I made the gathered version in a linen rayon blend for a lovely drape and soft gathers using some small pearl shank buttons. The outcome being a classic feminine blouse, easy to wear with jeans on the weekend or in the office (I've done both!)
I made a straight size 52, using the view A bodice length for a lovely curved hem, the 3/4 sleeve which was still bracelet length on me but no problems there at all.
I can see more of these in my future wardrobe made up in various fabrics and prints, so versatile with lots of hacking possibilities too.
The instructions were great and I was thankful for the YouTube tutorial when it came to the collar and cuffs as I was a little stumped there.

A fresh modern look - such a pretty top. Lengthen it a few inches as I am a bit taller and easy-easy to do. Finished the neck line and cuffs with contrasting piping to give it a tailored look and then made one out of a sweatshirt fabric. For the sweatshirt version ribbing on the cuffs and closed up the back opening.

        Lovely top!

I loved sewing this blouse with clear instructions and video made it even more helpful. Planning to sew another one soon with different fabric.

        Lovely blouse

I made this blouse recently in a beautiful rayon fabric. I made the shorter version with long sleeves. This pattern went together amazingly well and is sure to become one of my favourites. I am sure I will get lots of wear from this garment and I look forward to version 2 which is already swimming around in my mind.

        Pretty & Lovely

I loved sewing the Esther blouse, the instructions are clear and easy to follow. I used a pretty Rayon fabric (it frays as soon as you look at it!) and used French seams to enclose the raw edges. I've also got narrower shoulders than the pattern (I'm 5'4"/165cm), so had to adjust the pattern by reducing the shoulder width by 2cm each side and a little from the side seam, but the sleeve still fitted perfectly without any adjustment. I'm looking forward to making it in Jersey next. :-)
