How to make a capsule wardrobe

In order to create a versatile wardrobe, all you really need are some great fitting stylish patterns, from which you can create some easy pieces that work together and in many different combinations.

I set out to sew up a fall capsule using only 5 Wardrobe By Me patterns. I chose to center the collection around the Daisy Dropped Shoulder T-shirt and blouse as it can be sewn in woven as well as jersey, and works equally well with and without sleeves. The rose Voile with lace insert is a sweet feminine top that works great with pants or a skirt. The white and black cotton voile top is more sporty and minimalistic, something I always tend to treasure most. Finally I made a long sleeved sweater in a novelty sweater knit. I can't wait for the temperature to drop, so I can wear this! I love how different they all turned out.

The Carma Camisole is a no-brainer basic, that I use for layering all winter. I sew up a new one every time I have a nice leftover piece of jersey.

The Haute skinny Skirt has been a favorite skirt of mine for the past year, but I really like my skirts skort, so I made one in Ponte Di Roma, and this will be a goto garment as the weather gets colder. I love short skirts and chunky stockings paired with high heels or flats. Combined with the novelty knit Norma Jean Kimono here shortened to sweater length, I'm ready to take on fall!

Finally, the Slim fit pants... What can I say? These are my absolute favorite pants, and depending on you choice of fabric, they change from casual to dressy. Here they are in a super comfy dark stretch denim, that are already very well lived in!
