It seems the holiday season is upon us. Before you get caught up in all the presents you need to make, I suggest you decide what you will be wearing. For me, comfort is at the top of the list when deciding on my holiday outfit. Secondly, it has to be easy for me to style. Sewing for your self is a rewarding process, so start now and get yourself ready for the holiday season.

Wanda Wrap Dress and Asta Jersey Dress are the two most popular dress patterns from Wardrobe By Me. Although very different from one another, they do have a couple of very important denominators in common: They are both very flattering and comfortable.

Asta is an excellent example of simple elegance. The fitted bodice with a classic boat neckline, paired with an A-line skirt and a moderate sweep, creates a very flattering silhouette, becoming of almost all figure types. Asta is a straightforward sewing project, and you can complete the dress in 2-3 hours. For a simple and elegant holiday dress, we choose a Dark blue French Terry with scattered yellow dots. The fabric reminds me of the midnight starlit sky of  Christmas Eve.

The fabric is from Atelier Brunette and is called Twinkle night.

Summer, winter, casual or party. Wanda does it all! When made up in Bronze-Shimmer lurex, we are all ready for either a fantastic Christmas Party or an elegant New Years party. There are a couple of really great things about Wanda that you might not know! Only the torso part is wrapping..! The great thing about that is the fact that everything stays in place even on the dancefloor. Secondly, the six-gore skirt creates a full cascading sweep, begging for a twirl on the dancefloor.
