        Simple construction

I made a wearable toile b4 cutting good cotton fabric chosen by the future wearer. It's a simple to construct pattern with an easy method to create the sleeve slits and with an impressive outcome, On both my makes I ended up with an unfinished 1 cm long area at the top of the sleeve slit, so I zigzagged it to prevent fraying. No problem at all. The other area I found fiddly was where the collar seam joins the front facing : couldnt quite get a neat right angle where the neck seam changes from downward facing to upward. I'm sure this was due to my interpretation of instructions and they didn't affect my pride in the finished shirts. Will make more.

Couldn’t finish it fast enough for my son to wear. He loved it. Made in a dark green cord. Was a quick and easy sew. Fit was generally perfect, will just add a little more length in the body when I make the next one.
Instructions were clear and easy to follow.

        In waxed cotton, a winner

Overall, I think this is a pretty great pattern.

        Positives -

        Your choice of pockets, styling.
Could be done in one day
        Quite cool and useful

        Negatives -

I think the sizing is at least 1 size too small if not 2. I have a narrow waist and broad shoulders... so, having to make quite a few adjustments for that. I've managed to get past that but as I'm using the XXL (the largest size), I'm not sure what heavier and/or larger people would need to do.

Fabric requirements seem to be set up for patterned fabric. I've not got at least .5-1 meter extra of my outer fabric and I even went down on the amount.

Some of the illustrations & explanations could be clearer. The small flaps at the end of the sleeve where the cuff will attach. It's tough to tell if you sew through all layers or just the flaps and the illustration is too small to discern what is what.... even with the colors that are supposed to help.

An add-on lining pattern with faced edges. I'm making my own (first time... ugh!) as I used oil cloth for the outer fabric and it's just not terribly nice unless it's lined. I've spent countless hours cross-referencing my and my wifes patterns trying to come up with the best way to do the lining and facings.

        Fantastic pattern!

I really enjoyed making this overshirt. It's going to be a Christmas gift for my dad, made in a warm flannel-lined dark denim, and I know he's going to love it! It was my first shirt/jacket (having only started sewing earlier this year) but the instructions were fool-proof and enabled a professional finish.. I will be making more and buying more Wardrobe By Me patterns in future...

This pattern is awesome! Really easy to follow and great fit

Just one thing : there's no instruction on how to do the hem and wether to include the welt pocket linings within the hem or not...
