Lovely! But short sleeves too?

I’m not quite finished the Esther, will finish this weekend, but I have made my own short sleeves up with a little bit of gather and bias binding round the hem. Lovely top though!

As I have just purchased my pattern I haven’t made it yet but I look forward to doing so soon.

Simple and feminine

I enjoyed making the Esther and included it in my #sewaprilblouse23 entries.
I made the gathered version in a linen rayon blend for a lovely drape and soft gathers using some small pearl shank buttons. The outcome being a classic feminine blouse, easy to wear with jeans on the weekend or in the office (I've done both!)
I made a straight size 52, using the view A bodice length for a lovely curved hem, the 3/4 sleeve which was still bracelet length on me but no problems there at all.
I can see more of these in my future wardrobe made up in various fabrics and prints, so versatile with lots of hacking possibilities too.
The instructions were great and I was thankful for the YouTube tutorial when it came to the collar and cuffs as I was a little stumped there. YouTube video placeholder

Esther Top

A fresh modern look - such a pretty top. Lengthen it a few inches as I am a bit taller and easy-easy to do. Finished the neck line and cuffs with contrasting piping to give it a tailored look and then made one out of a sweatshirt fabric. For the sweatshirt version ribbing on the cuffs and closed up the back opening.
Who says you can’t be a style magnet in the garden??
Love this pattern company!
