        Very professional looking garment

The sizing is for a close fitting garment… I made a size larger than my usual WBM fit. Definitely worth making a tulle first without the lining to check size. Made up well and the facings are a nice detail which make a very professional looking finished vest.

        Stylish and Easy

The vest is so great and versatile - the way the pattern was constructed was easy to understand and execute and leaves room for creativity. Thank you for the video sew-alongs, they are so helpful.

A superbly designed pattern, but sizing is an issue

I really like this pattern. As usual, the pattern is cleary drawn and the instructions clear. The pieces are carefully drafted to redcue bulk by offsetting seams of the outer fabric from those of the lining. The finished garment is stylish and versatile. It's smart enough to wear for formal occasions with a jacket, and also works as a more casual top garment. The shaped back makes for a close fit with the waistcoat buttoned up, which looks smart, but it is important to get the size right for the wearer. I have thus far made four of these, in cotton moleskin for colder seasons and also in linen for the summer. Once again though I have to criticise sizing. I am 1.71m tall and typically 73-75kg, so significantly smaller than average for men in western Europe. I compared the stated measurements for the finished garment with a waistcoat from my existing wardrobe, but these bore no resemblance to the actual dimensions once it was made up, and the XL size was far too small for me; I couldn't button it up! Fortunately I was able to give it to an appreciative friend slimmer than I am. I continued using the 2XL size, which is actually a perfect fit for me. 2XL for those smaller than 60% of the general population? This needs a bit of work.

Great sew, easy to follow instructions

I had a short time frame to get completed for an event and skipped the pockets. Next I'd love to put them in for everyday wear.
Will definitely be a well used pattern
