            Great Pattern!

I LOVE this pattern. First time making a shirt for my husband other than a scrub. Fits him perfectly with no alterations. He normally wears an XL in ready-made but after measuring, I ended up making a 3XL. Fits perfectly. I did have a bit of a struggle with some of the written directions, but there is a sew-along on YouTube which was great and helped me with a few things I was confused about. I love the way everything is finished off so nicely inside. Honestly, I cannot say enough about this pattern. I will be making many more.

My husband loves his birthday shirt! He says it's his favourite shirt I've made him. I've made him 3 using a different pattern each time.. This pattern is the winner! I'll be making another one with linen. I chose the size L based on the finished garment measurements listed. I shortened the length by 3" and re-spaced the buttonholes/buttons 4" apart. My husband is 5'6". I didn't make a toile.
It was an easy make for me. Thanks for an awesome pattern!!

            Easy to follow

Loved making this shirt for my husband - already considering what to make it in again - I think that this would be really stylish in a lightweight linen as well as really zany fabrics. Would thoroughly reccomend as it gives you some of the basics you need to create this style of shirt/collar.

            Great pattern

I was really pleased with how the shirt turned out. I really appreciated having the video to watch which made it easier. Thanks ! I would have liked more information about which side to sew the collar together, for example, as at first I sewed round the notched side, then realised I had done it upside down and had to cut a second collar. I would have liked it if the material was less patterned on the video so that I could see the process a bit easier. Maybe it would be possible to ‘draw’ the sewing lines on the video, so that it’s easier to see…I would suggest that someone sewing this for the first time reads through the whole pattern and watches the video all the way through before starting to sew. It’s a very satisfying and well designed pattern and I learnt a few new techniques. I would definitely recommend it. The one I made was a wearable toile from a vintage cotton sheet. My husband loves it but I made it for my son, so I think I’ll be sewing a few more to keep them both happy ! It’s a fun sewing project and the results are great !
