Love the dress

The pattern is ingenious! It took time to assemble the numbered pieces but making the dress was simple. Best of all it fits well and looks like ready to wear. I’m delighted.

My first time with Wardrobe by Me - Asta dress

Firstly, the finished dress in jersey is brilliant and I'm so pleased with it - thank you ! Fits beautifully. I made the version with the boat neck, three quarter length sleeves and internal pockets. The only bits I struggled with with (and this maybe because I haven't sewed dresses etc for over 25 years) were not having a layout to follow and also the sections that were mirrored. I got confused with the pockets, skirt pieces and the sleeve. Think this is where a layout would have helped and also, particularly with the pocket and sleeve, instructions showing how to make both sleeves/pockets rather than me trying to work out the second one. I lengthened the skirt by 4.5" so just above ankle length. Very elegant. Lovely pattern and will certainly use again. Thank you

Easy sewing pattern

I’ve made two dresses now from this pattern - soo easy to sew. I did lengthen the skirt though cos I like my dresses longer.

Really nice dress

Easy pattern and I appreciated the sew along video
I think expanding the written instructions would be good for less experienced sewers
But I love look & feel if finished dress and will be making more !

Great pattern

I made the long sleeved boat neck option for the first time with a basic jersey. I made no adjustment to start with, as this was intended as a toile. It worked out great and I will definitely wear it a lot, I had to remove a lot of sleeve length (I am petite) but other than that it's flattering and comfy and I love the midi length I got. For the next one (because there will definitely be others) I will need to adjust the bodice length - the weight of the skirt pulls the waist down with a 4 way stretch fabric.
