        Best shorts I’ve made!

I love these shorts. I was looking to make a pair of casual shorts a step up from my usual elastic waist style. I’ve tried three or four different patterns in the last few weeks and they’ve all been somewhere on the continuum between “qualified success, can wear and will try again with adjustments” to “hideous fail…donate immediately”. The Frida shorts have been my unicorn. I sized up at the waist (because I’m a rectangle) but otherwise made no adjustments. The length is good and the width of the legs is perfect. They’re super comfortable in cotton with a bit of stretch. I’ve already got another pair cut out.

Enjoyable project and nice finished result

I enjoyed making these and they look couture inside and out. Not for a beginning seamstress but not super difficult or complicated either. I will make more of these. I especially like that the pdf has layers so you can select just the size you need, and also that the paper pieces don't need to be cut before putting all the pages together.

        So professional!

I'm so proud of the shorts I have made from this pattern! I was not sure if I was skilled enough a seamstress, but the fabulous tutorial walked me through it all step by step and I am so pleased with my finished product! Fabulous pattern support too! I can't wait to make some more Frida shorts, they fit like a glove 

I love these shorts! The drafting and the details are great and the instructions are clear. As a result, no one would guess they are homemade :)

        fantastic

They sew together amazing and the directions are simple and clear. There are so many little details in the construction of the shorts. We be making lots of these this summer
