This is my first ever pair of pants. I had been comparing patterns for a long time and have chosen this WBM pattern in the end. I am entirely satisfied (and a little bit proud). For practicing I used a viscose fabric that I had kept for a while and now I feel confident enough to buy any fabric. Question: what kinds of fabric are recommended for fall/winter pants (baby corduroy I read in the comments)?? Can I use the same size for a heavier material? I guess I then better make the simple wasteband C? I won't start immediately, maybe someone can add a helpful comment in the meantime. Thanks.
Hi there! Thank you for taking the time to leave a review for our High Waist Pants Sewing Pattern. We're so glad to hear that it was your first pair of pants and that you are satisfied with the results - that's definitely something to be proud of! As for fabrics recommended for fall/winter, baby corduroy is a great option as it will provide warmth and comfort. I would probally size up!
When you have an elasticated waistline, heavy frabric tends to have more volume. I've made a pair in 12 Whale cordyroy, and they are not my favorite!.

Such comfortable pants
The pattern is very good but I got confused when ordering because I wanted the paper pattern not the pdf.
I love this pattern and have made 4 very different items from it. I will definitely be making more. I have made cropped trousers in a summer linen, full length in a drapey tencil cotton mix. I also adapted it into linen shorts and PJ pants with a yoga band. Both patch pockets and side pockets work well but for a simple make just leave out pockets and false fly. Very generous length so be prepared to shorten as necessary.
Who does not want to relax in easy to make pants? I made the cropped version, now busy with full lenght made with double gauze: feels so soft like a baby. The choice of pockets is a win-win for me! And you can make a summer and winter version❤️
