        clear instructions, great fit

The instructions are brief yet clear, the extra tips that are brought up in the video sew along are really very helpful, too. I went with the measurements as per the table provided and the final fit is great, although personally I significantly shortened the bodice. Overall a project that isn’t terribly difficult but looks like quite something.

        A lovely pattern

This is such a pretty design. The gathering at the neckline gives a surprising amount of shaping to the front of the garment. I chose to make it from a woven viscose and this added to the overall effect of the gathering. Even though the pattern does not have lengthen/ shorten lines and recommends reducing any extra length from the hem edge, I decided that this would not result in the shape I wanted, so I chose a spot below the armhole curve and added my own lengthen/ shorten lines. I ended up taking about 5 cm from the overall length and am happy with where the top sits on me, and on the look of the finished garment. I got lots of compliments when I wore the top and plan on making this pattern again.
